Hawaii Ranks Last In Saving On Bundled Insurance Policies |
Thursday, June 05, 2014 |
Hawaii home and car owners save the least amount of money in the country when they buy insurance polices for their cars and homes from the same company, a report from insurancequotes.com says.
Hawaii residents save an average of just $116 per year when they bundle their polices a discount of 7.04 percent. Lousiana residents save the most — $505 per year, while residents in Oklahoma see the highest percentage savings at 22.27 percent, the report says.
Insurancequotes.com commissioned the study from Quadrant Information Services. It used a hypothetical 45-year-old married woman with a bachelor's degree, excellent credit and no lapse in insurance coverage as a model for the study.
Despite Hawaiii's low ranking, Mike Barry, a spokesman for the Insurance Information Institute, says on insurancequotes.com that no matter where one lives, it's worth looking into bundling insurance. |
